About Me
I'm a 30something (35 at time of starting this blog) year old parent of one who is competitive, strong willed, independent netball and sport obsessive. I'm hyper and can jump like Tigger, I could talk for GB at the Olympics, I'm a bit of a terrier when I'm on to something, oh and I'm a blue badge holder because I suffer from a few chronic conditions that get in the way occasionally.

I have a blood disorder known as HbSC, fibromyalgia, benign hypermobility, ADHD and I suffer from chronic sciatica due to a disc protrusion (now resolved)...
Needless to say, a less than ideal combination along with my characteristic attributes but I make it work most of the time hahaha. This is just a space for me to share what happens in my life and how I cope with chronic pain, the complications of HbSC and the rest of what life throws my way.
Since beginning this blog, I have been members of groups, written articles and patient guidance and I have spoken at many events and conferences as a patient advocate. In Jan 2024, I was voted number 28 in Sanius Health's most influential people in sickle cell (advocates, researchers and health care providers).
